Scalium+ is the result of the merger between Scandium+ (a Scandium Canada's subsidiary) and Ferreol Technologies, two companies united by a shared ambition: to transform the manufacturing industry through advanced materials innovation.
By bringing together Ferreol Technologies' expertise in high-strength aluminum alloy development and ecofriendly surface treatment technology with Scandium Canada's pioneering work in aluminum-scandium alloys for additive manufacturing, Scalium+ is built to accelerate what neither could achieve alone.
Our combined portfolio spans the full spectrum of next-generation aluminum-scandium solutions, called Scalium®. Ferreol Technologies contributes with a patented high-strength Al-Zn-Mg-Cu-Sc alloy engineered for aerospace, defense, and sports equipment applications, alongside the FST chrome-free surface treatment platform. Scandium+ brings two patent-pending Al-Sc alloys, AA7075 and A535, developed in collaboration with McMaster University, optimized for 3D printing and Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing.
